Op stille zaterdag 30 maart, varend naar het westen, zien we weinig echo's van blauwe wijting bij de rand van het continentale plat en besluiten om nog even verder te varen in de verwachting dat er later meer blauwe wijting op het echogram zal verschijnen. Dat valt tegen. Om 10:37 UTC zien we wat kleine scholen op een diepte van 550m en we besluiten om daarop te vissen (trek 11). Dit levert een kleine 200kg blauwe wijting en wat meso-pelagische soorten op.

On quiet Saturday 30 March, sailing westward, we see few echoes of blue whiting near the edge of the continental shelf and decide to sail a little further, expecting that more blue whiting will appear on the echogram later. We see much less than expected. At 10:37 UTC we see some small schools at a depth of 550m and we decide to fish for them (haul 11). This yields almost 200kg of blue whiting and some meso-pelagic species.
